Warehouse Assistant

Are you an experienced warehouse assistant with a background in operations administration? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at a fast-paced and growing company in Wetherill Park!

Role Overview:

As a Warehouse Assistant, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring the smooth processing of freight, accurate system input, and occasional counterbalance forklift operation. This position offers long shifts and the potential for overtime, with a view to permanent employment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Checking Off Freight: Inspect and verify incoming and outgoing freight against delivery notes.
• Labeling: Accurately label goods for shipment and inventory.
• System Input: Update and maintain records in warehouse management systems.
• Forklift Operation: Occasional operation of the counterbalance forklift to assist with the movement of goods.
• General Warehouse Duties: Assist with stock organization, order picking, and packing as needed.

Shifts & Hours:

• Start Time: 10 AM/11 AM
• Shift Length: 10-12 hours, with the possibility of overtime
• View to Permanency: Opportunities for permanent employment for the right candidate

Key Requirements:

• Valid Forklift License (counterbalance)
• Experience in warehouse operations or freight administration
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Ability to lift and handle goods up to a reasonable weight
• Proactive attitude and team-oriented approach
