Your Role:
As an Assistant Accountant, you will report directly to the Director of Finance and Marketing while collaborating closely with our part-time CFO. Your responsibilities will include:
- Accurate data entry, general ledger journals, and reconciliations
- Conducting bank reconciliations
- Managing customer payments, banking, receipting, and allocation of payments
- Overseeing debtor management and reporting
- Preparing and lodging BAS
- Generating financial reports (monthly & annually), cash flow management, budget projection, and account reconciliation up to Profit and Loss reporting, while liaising with the CFO and management team
What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a knack for investigating discrepancies
- Comprehensive accounting knowledge
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Proficiency in Xero software
- Confidence in using the MS Office Suite
