PURCHASING OFFICER

Our client has seen significant growth and are currently expanding and restructuring their team and are looking for highly skilled candidates to move forward with their business and growing team.  

Based in the Eastside area of Brisbane, they have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Purchasing Officer with solid administrative skills and an eye for detail.  Reporting to two Procurement Officers you will need to be a team player with a can-do attitude.    
  
About you and the Role:
  • Responsible for the administrative functions within the purchasing team
  • Placing of purchase orders, consignment, planning, Reconciliation and scheduling
  • Liaising with suppliers and clients alike to ensure timely and accurate delivery of our goods
  • Maintain accurate & up to date information
  • Team player, liaising with production and warehousing staff
  • Excellent phone manner and communication skills – Inbound calls
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office suite including Excel, Outlook & Word
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to multi-task while working under pressure and time restraints
  • Experience with an office Food Manufacturing environment a plus!
  • Background in MRP based purchasing – computer based, from multiple suppliers x local & interstate (Beneficial)
This is a Monday to Friday role - on rare occasions you may need to work in the weekend or be contactable. 

This would suit someone with purchasing experience that would like to lead into a procurement opportunity in time.
