Trade Qualified Maintenance Fitters

Previous experience with in the food manufacturing industry is MUST

Vacancies for experienced Qualified Maintenance Fitters to perform breakdown and assembly work on a range of semi and fully automated food processing machines and packaging machinery etc.

Role would involve breakdown work, assembly, fault finding/troubleshooting, commissioning of new machines, and installs/repairs.  You could also be working closely with other maintenance teams on site.

Position would be working within an Abattoir meat works environment - West of Toowoomba.

DRIVE IN DRIVE OUT role each day ideally looking for applicants based near Toowoomba / Ipswich surrounding areas for these projects. 

Dates required for shut down below: Positions are working Monday to Friday up to ten hour days with a potential for weekend Saturday work. 

Day Shift hours 6 AM - 4.30 PM 

Working within a cold environment - own freezer gear beneficial. 

First Round:

15/10/20 to 27/11/20  

Second Round:

04/01/21 to 08/01/21

Third Round: 

01/02/21 to 26/03/2021

What we are looking for:

• Previous experience with in the food manufacturing industry is a MUST
• Q Fever Shot required being within Abattoir meat works
• Australian Trade Qualification as a Maintenance/Mechanical Fitter
• Beneficial to have Freezer Gear 
• Proven experience on both breakdown repairs and assembly of new machinery 
• Fault finding and problem solving skills and experience
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Commitment to quality and detail
• Commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to work within a cold environment - MUST 
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Available for immediate start
