Our client is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance & Compliance Officer to join their team and lead quality, food safety, and compliance across our meat processing operations.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is proactive, solutions-focused, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and regulatory compliance.

About the Role

Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance systems, food safety programs, and compliance across processing, distribution, and retail operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining HACCP and food safety systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant food safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Leading internal, external, and regulatory audits.
  • Managing quality documentation, investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Monitoring product quality, traceability, and recall systems.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
  • Delivering food safety training and promoting a strong quality culture.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous experience in a Quality Assurance or Compliance role within the meat or food manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, food safety legislation, and quality management systems.
  • Experience leading audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach with a strong attention to detail.
  • HACCP or Food Safety qualifications (desirable).
