Employment Type: 4 weeks casual ongoing 

Our client, a reputable business in the food industry located in Australia, is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join their team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to bring your baking expertise to a dynamic workplace committed to excellence and innovation.

As a Pastry Chef, you will be responsible for preparing a wide range of pastries that complement the client’s high-quality product offerings. Your creative skills and attention to detail will play a vital role in enhancing the customer experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and create a wide range of pastry items and desserts consistent with the company’s recipes and standards.
  • Maintain the quality and presentation of all bakery products to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
  • Manage inventory of baking supplies and ingredients, reporting needs for replenishment.
  • Assist in menu development by recommending pastry and dessert options.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role in a professional kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of pastry techniques, ingredients, and baking methods.
  • Ability to produce consistent, high-quality pastries and desserts.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene requirements.
  • Flexibility to work casual shifts as required.
