Event Safety Marshals – Event Operations

Location: Melbourne
Dates: 23–27 October
Hours: Daily 7:45am–6:00pm

We are looking for an experienced Event Safety Marshals to support the Operations Team during the build and move-in of a major event.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor event logistics and ensure pallets, custom stand materials and equipment are placed according to the site plan.
• Ensure designated aisleways, dump areas and clearways are maintained at all times.
• Keep the front 3m aisle clear and ensure key access routes remain unobstructed.
• Support onsite contractor management and monitor safe working practices.
• Assist with working-at-heights and building practice compliance.
• Liaise with cleaning teams, venue operations, safety and loading dock teams.
• Communicate with suppliers, stand builders and contractors.
• Attend toolbox meetings with the Operations Team and provide feedback on safety and site conditions.
• Assist with maintaining a safe, organised and compliant event build environment.

About You

• Previous experience in event operations, event safety, construction or site safety.
• Strong understanding of site safety and contractor management.
• Confident communicating with contractors, suppliers and venue teams.
• Able to identify hazards and ensure clearways and access areas are maintained.
• Proactive, reliable and comfortable working in a busy event build environment.
• Relevant safety qualifications/experience highly regarded.
