Dispatch Officer – Meat Processing Facility | Immediate Start

We’re seeking an organised and proactive Dispatch Officer to join our client’s busy meat processing facility. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production and logistics environment.

Shift Time: Monday - Friday - 4am-12pm

About the Role:
As a Dispatch Officer, you’ll play a key role in coordinating daily dispatch operations, ensuring all products are accurately packed, invoiced, and prepared for delivery. You’ll work closely with production, transport, and customer service teams to maintain smooth and timely distribution of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete production sheets and butcher’s copies accurately
• Learn and assist with picking and packing orders
• Assist the transport team in locating lost boxes and dockets
• Check off boxes and products against invoices for drivers
• Sort and organise invoices for driver runs
• Help check and prepare regional delivery runs
• Perform invoicing and document handling duties
• Act as the butcher’s copy runner — collect from pick/pack, scan, and provide to the Customer Service/Dispatch (CSD) team
• Escalate any dispatch delays and adhere to dispatch schedules
• Ensure all dispatched goods meet requirements for quality, timeframes, and labelling
• Strap and organise pallets ready for loading
• Liaise with drivers and problem-solve to ensure trucks leave site on time

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience in dispatch, logistics, or warehouse operations (meat industry preferred)
• Must have full working rights in Australia
• Ok working with meat products (e.g. beef and pork)
• Ok working in a cold environment 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with paperwork
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Physically fit and comfortable in a cold storage or production environment
• Reliable, organised, and safety-conscious
