We are seeking an experienced Cook / Knife Hand to join our dynamic and fast-paced events catering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys working in large-scale hospitality environments, and takes pride in delivering exceptional food and service to thousands of guests.

About the Role

Working across major event days, functions, corporate hospitality suites, and premium catering outlets, you will be part of a professional kitchen team responsible for preparing and delivering high-quality food service in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Food preparation and production for large-scale events
• Assisting chefs with daily kitchen operations
• Carvery preparation and service experience essential
• Meat slicing, portion control, and presentation
• Vegetable preparation, salads, and cold larder duties
• Maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards
• Stock rotation and kitchen cleaning duties
• Supporting event-day service across multiple catering outlets
• Assisting with buffet, hospitality, and corporate function catering
• Knife hand duties including food preparation and kitchen support
• Working efficiently to meet strict service deadlines

Essential Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working in commercial kitchens
• Previous Carvery experience is essential
• Strong knife skills and food preparation experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume catering environment
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP procedures
• Reliable, punctual, and well-presented
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Capacity to stand for extended periods and perform physical duties

Desirable

• Experience in stadium, arena, event, convention centre, or large venue catering
• Catering, hospitality, or commercial cookery qualifications
• Current Food Safety Certificate
• Previous experience servicing large crowds and major events
