Our client, one of Australia's premier producers of ready-made salads, is seeking a talented Food Production Supervisor to join their ranks.

 

Position: Food Production Supervisor
Shift: Afternoon Shift (2:00 PM Start)
Location: Smeaton Grange

As a Food Production Supervisor, you will play a vital role in overseeing the production process, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining a safe working environment. You'll lead by example, motivating and guiding your team to achieve excellence in every batch of salad produced.

Responsibilities: 

• Providing guidance, motivation, and training to Team Leaders and production employees
• Managing shift production objectives and ensuring employee productivity
• Enforcing workplace safety standards and procedures
• Monitoring and adhering to production schedules, implementing countermeasures when necessary
• Conducting production worker training on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safe equipment usage
• Offering ongoing guidance to improve quality and efficiency during production

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a supervisory role within food production or a similar industry
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to manage production schedules and address day-to-day operational issues
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Willingness to work flexible hours and adapt to changing priorities
